A NURSE PRACTITIONER CAN:
- Provide primary care services and health-maintenance care for adults, including annual physicals.
- Diagnose, treat, evaluate and manage acute and chronic illness and disease such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies such as lab tests and EKGs.
- Perform routine tests such as pregnancy, drug, strep, flu, and breathing tests.
- Prescribe medication as needed
- Counsel and educate patients on health behaviors, self-care skills, and treatment options
- WE DO NOT PRESCRIBE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES
